I recently graduated high school with over 70 college credits completed. I work in a cardiology clinic, gaining hands-on experience while staying committed to academic excellence, my faith in Jesus, and the support of my amazing family and friends. I am passionate about healthcare, innovation, and uplifting my community through education and advocacy. I will be attending UNCW Honors College to major in marine biology. I have always excelled in school and strived to have good grades which allowed me to graduate as part of the national honor society. My name is Tinaya Eason, and I am a Biomedical Science student at North Carolina Central University. I am passionate about healthcare, scientific research, and making a positive impact in my community. On campus, I serve as the Junior Class SGA Event Coordinator and Secretary for the J.E.W.E.L.S. organization, and I am also an active member of the National Council of Negro Women. I enjoy creative activities such as henna art and makeup, as well as spending quality time with my family and friends. My goal is to pursue a career in biomedical research focused on improving health outcomes in underserved communities. With a passion for both storytelling and science, Zaria believes in the healing power that can be found in words and medicine. She hopes to one day serve communities not only through clinical care, but also through creative expression and compassionate advocacy. She is dedicated to using both storytelling and medicine as tools for restoration, representation, and empowerment within her community.
